Job Summary
The HR Coordinator will perform duties at the professional level in all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration and management, on-boarding, and employee relations. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of multi-tasking and relating to individuals at all levels within the organization
- Hours are Monday - Friday, from 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm. In addition to being flexible to cover a 3-shift operation.
- Salary Range - $50,000-$53,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all employee and applicant documentation and employee records
- Ensure compliance with I-9 employment eligibility verification and periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Maintain employee personnel files and proper record keeping
- Assist with policy development and documentation
- Maintain current health benefits program
- Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans.
- Review benefits with employees and processes and assist with enrollments.
- Organize and assist with annual open enrollment communications and election process.
- Report, maintain, and monitor time and attendance for employees
- Monitor, adjust and submit weekly payroll for all employees
- Process payroll reports for agencies
Qualifications
- Education
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: HR Certification or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience
- Minimum Required: 2 years’ HR experience
- Preferred: HRIS experience
- Automotive manufacturing experience or related field
- Basic knowledge of all HR disciplines including performance management, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, compensation, Health and Safety, etc.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail
- Preferred: Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
Working Conditions
The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
- Mostly office environment
- Limited exposure to vehicles, robotics, production equipment
- Minimal exposure to outdoor elements
