Job Summary
The Human Resources Facility Lead is responsible for managing and executing HR functions at the facility level, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role partners with leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1) Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees and managers within the facility. Manage compliance to processes, procedures, and policies of all HR team members.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, addressing inquiries related to policies, benefits, and workplace issues promptly and professionally.
- Act as a trusted advisor to facility leadership on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to all levels of the facility, providing guidance on policies, legal requirements, and best practices to maintain a positive, conflict-free workplace.
2) HR Administration, Compliance, and Employee Support
- Oversee core HR operations for the facility, including payroll processing, UKG updates, talent acquisition, headcount reporting, attendance tracking, leave administration, and organizational chart maintenance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance and fairness by applying company policies and employment law consistently, conducting investigations, overseeing disciplinary actions, approving last-chance agreements, and finalizing termination documentation.
3) Drive facility employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee Employee Engagement initiatives at the facility (with committee, if applicable). Execute engagement activities such as recognition programs, team-building events, and feedback initiatives to strengthen employee morale and retention at the facility level.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify engagement opportunities, analyze feedback, and implement strategies that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
4) Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum Required: Associate’s degree or HR Certification
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree, SHRM or PHR certification
Experience
- Minimum Required: 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or facility-based environment.
- Preferred: 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or facility-based environment. Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Job Skills
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Preferred: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust and communicate sensitively, tactfully, and professionally across all levels of the facility. Comprehensive HR expertise in recruitment, employee relations, talent management, compensation, health and safety (including Workers’ Compensation), and compliance with employment law and company policies. Proven ability to perform under pressure while working independently or collaboratively in a team environment, ensuring fairness and consistency in all HR processes. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as TS16949/IATF 16949, Environmental Management Systems, and OSHA requirements. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Working Conditions
The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
- Travel may be required with short notice.
- Office Environment with administrative assignments within a manufacturing facility.
- Limited exposure to weather elements, chemical, robotics, industrial and automotive vehicles.
- Must comply with all Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
