Role Description
The Special Event Sales Coordinator solicits, establishes, and promotes events within all Grotto Pizza locations. The Coordinator facilitates customers’ special event occasions through community outreach and various alternative marketing techniques. Additionally, the Sales Coordinator seeks out and commits events for Grotto’s off-site Mobile Kitchen units. These functions offer an exciting opportunity to be the face of Grotto Pizza event services, coordinating details from initial inquiry to the successful execution of each function. The Sales Coordinator is a full-time, salary based commission position; compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties:
1. Share responsibility for achieving revenue goals, guest satisfaction and the financial performance of the department.
2. Manage and coordinate event bookings from initial inquiry through to event completion.
3. Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
4. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
5. Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts for event services.
6. Collaborate with vendors, venues, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
7. Oversee event logistics, including setup, timing, and breakdown when necessary.
8. Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
9. Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and customer details.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and innovative event ideas.
Requirements:
1. At least two years’ sales experience in a hospitality setting.
2. College degree preferred but not required; combination of education/experience may be considered.
3. Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
4. Must be organized, punctual, reliable and efficient.
5. Must possess ability to meet deadlines.
6. Superb customer service skills with demonstrated ability to lead a group.
7. Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to work in the United States
