Diesel Mechanic / Fleet MechanicGross Electric, Inc. – Queensbury, NY

Gross Electric is seeking a dependable, hands-on Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our growing fleet of trucks, trailers, equipment, generators, and construction support vehicles. This position is based out of our Queensbury headquarters and plays a critical role in supporting projects across New York and the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gas-powered engines
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, brake, and suspension systems
- Complete inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur
- Coordinate vehicle registrations, inspections, and service schedules
- Maintain maintenance records and equipment history
- Work with operations and logistics teams to prioritize repairs
- Assist with equipment mobilization and yard organization as needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
Qualifications
- Experience working on medium and heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL preferred but not required
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
