We just opened a brand new state of the art auto body facility with air conditioning We are a Chevrolet-Ford-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealer in Neillsville, WI. Our automotive service center needs another reliable Body Shop Estimator to join our team. We have grown and have added additional technicians along with additional work As a result, we need to someone to be able to assist our Body Shop Manager in his daily duties of writing body damage estimates, submitting estimates to the insurance company, working with insurance adjusters, and helping customers.
We operate one of the finest and most efficient auto body repair shops in the area, and we require excellence of our devoted staff. Body Shop Estimator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Estimating and Customer Service
- Greet customers, assess vehicle damage, and create accurate repair estimates using approved estimating software (CCC/Mitchell, etc.).
- Explain repair procedures, timelines, and insurance processes clearly to customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the repair process, providing timely updates.
- Review supplements, obtain approvals from insurance companies, and make necessary revisions to estimates.
- Repair Planning & Workflow Management
- Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify all necessary repairs for proper repair planning.
- Coordinate with technicians, parts staff, and paint team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Create repair plans that align with OEM procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor and adjust job progress to meet delivery targets and maintain shop productivity.
- Insurance & Documentation
- Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding estimates, supplements, and approvals.
- Upload required photos, documentation, and repair notes accurately and promptly.
- Ensure all paperwork is complete, compliant, and properly filed.
- Handle DRP requirements and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners.
- Quality Control & Delivery
- Conduct pre-repair, in-process, and final quality checks to ensure repairs meet shop and OEM standards.
- Verify parts accuracy and fitment before and during repairs.
- Coordinate and participate in final delivery with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Operational & Administrative Support
- Assist the Body Shop Manager in daily operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and team coordination.
- Help maintain shop compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, CSI, and touch time.
- Support onboarding, training, and communication with shop staff.
- Help resolve customer concerns and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional work area.
- Stay current on industry standards, OEM procedures, and insurance requirements.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support shop operations.

Body Shop Estimator Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Willingness to participate in in-house training
- Knowledge of Computer systems and body work
- Knowledge of tools and equipment
