General Sales Manager - Automotive

Job Description

If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for selling and you enjoy working with customers and Sales Consultants, then we want you to be part of our Family. The GSM/GM candidate must be extremely knowledgeable about our vehicles and services, the industry, and our market, including vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiencies, safety features and functions, and financing options for both new and used vehicle inventories. He or she provides superior customer service by understanding and demonstrating the characteristics, capabilities, and features of various vehicles and by developing and qualifying a customer base that will lead to the sale and delivery of vehicles.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a confident and outgoing personality, a professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Sales or Finance Management experience is required. Candidates must be self-motivated, a proven leader and goal orientated.

Responsibilities

• To lead and grow our Sales Department.
• Adhere to Company policies and philosophies
• Train, coach and support all positions within the Sales Department
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and completing OEM Training.
• Supports all Sales Consultant training activities including Sales Process, CRM, and Product Knowledge.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Strong desire to meet sales goals
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Strong telephone, texting, email, and social media communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Sales or Finance Management experience required
