Construction Safety Director

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees in the workplace. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of safety protocols, and excellent communication skills. *Responsibilities* - Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks - Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions - Provide safety training to employees on various topics such as emergency response, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment - Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and make recommendations for improvements - Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspections *Requirements* - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health Sciences, or related field - Certification in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) is preferred - Proven experience in risk management, construction site safety, and compliance management - Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NEC codes, and workers' compensation requirements - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols - Proficiency in construction management software is a plus
