Position Summary:
The Accountant supports core accounting functions—including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, asset management, and compliance—to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to policies and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and consolidation process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
- Prepare journal entries and oversee entries submitted by others.
- Analyze transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research outstanding items.
- Support month-end close by ensuring accurate and complete financial records.
- Assist with state licensing, tax payments, renewals, and reporting.
- Assist with audit, internal, and external reporting requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA candidacy a plus.
- 2 years accounting experience.
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and general accounting.
- Experience with large scale ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, audit preparation, and financial governance best practices.
- Proven ability to work in a high-transaction volume environment.
