Responsibilities
- Supervise front-end staff, including cashiers and customer service associates, ensuring smooth shift operations and high-quality service delivery
- Lead customer interactions with professionalism, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing overall shopping experience
- Oversee cashiering functions, including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and balancing registers at shift end
- Manage inventory control at the front end, including stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and ensuring product availability
- Train new employees on store policies, POS systems, customer service techniques, and safety procedures
- Monitor store cleanliness and organization to uphold visual standards and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or management experience in retail sales or customer service environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and retail math for pricing and sales analysis
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, conflict resolution, and employee orientation practices
- Knowledge of retail operations including merchandising, stocking, purchasing, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in manager roles or supervising teams is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills coupled with proficiency in budgeting, payroll processing, and administrative tasks
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
