Responsibilities
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are organized, labeled correctly, and replenished promptly to maintain an inviting store presentation
- Operate cash registers accurately during retail sales transactions, handling cash, credit card payments, and returns with precision
- Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos
- Manage the cash drawer responsibly, performing cash handling duties and balancing registers at shift end
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, including product placement and promotional displays, to support merchandising efforts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, making change, and managing retail math calculations
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is advantageous
- Supervising experience in retail or related fields is beneficial for leadership opportunities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves effectively
