What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Grober Nutrition LLC?
Job Summary:
The maintenance team is tasked with maintaining all of the equipment in the facility. The employee must be aware of all food safety protocols and how maintenance affects this program. The employee will adhere to all Grober Nutrition SOPs and policies to ensure that the employees are performing their job safely and that the feed is produced with animal safety and quality in mind.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a preventative maintenance log to ensure that all equipment cleaned and updated on a regular basis.
- Chemical testing for the boiler.
- Tracking of water, gas, and electricity usage.
- Adherence to proper protocols for routine and emergency work to ensure employee and feed safety.
- Support the warehouse and production staff during operation when mechanical issues arise.
- Develop PM sheets for equipment including frequency and description of PM, parts needed and cost.
- Develop log and schedule for PM’s going forward.
- Daily log of water intake and wastewater leaving the plant.
Requirements:
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Manufacturing process understanding
- Stainless welding experience (Desired)
