Role Description
This is a remote internship role for a Web Developer. The Web Developer intern will be involved in both front-end and back-end development, web design, and general web development tasks. The intern will work closely with the team to develop, test, and maintain web applications. They will have the opportunity to learn and apply programming skills in real-world projects, contributing to GRO’s mission of delivering cutting-edge digital solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Convert Figma mockups into fully functional, pixel-perfect websites using Elementor.
- Build intuitive, responsive layouts optimized for all devices and screen sizes.
- Implement best practices for SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and site performance.
- Write clean, maintainable code in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), and JavaScript/ES6 .
- Optimize websites for speed (Core Web Vitals, image optimization, lazy loading).
- Collaborate with designers to ensure UI/UX integrity and smooth user flows.
- Integrate with WordPress CMS and provide light back-end support when needed.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of front-end development experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Elementor and WordPress.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Skilled in front-end performance optimization and SEO-friendly coding.
- Familiar with version control (Git) and modern development workflows.
- Experience with basic back-end (PHP, MySQL) is a plus, but front-end mastery is the priority.
- Strong portfolio showcasing responsive, SEO-optimized websites.
