Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs with enthusiasm
- Assist with visual merchandising, including implementing planograms and maintaining attractive product displays
- Support store management in inventory control, stock replenishment, and stockroom organization
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for cashiering and pricing transactions
- Handle manual material handling tasks, heavy lifting, and stock movement using ladders or material handling equipment safely
- Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and back-of-house areas to ensure a tidy shopping environment
- Support remodeling or interior design projects by assisting with setup, layout adjustments, and visual design elements
- Use mobile devices for inventory management, client communication, and merchandising updates
- Implement planogram strategies to optimize product placement and maximize sales potential
- Engage in training & development activities to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and visual merchandising skills
Experience
- Previous retail store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for customer service is essential
- Supervising experience or leadership roles are a plus, demonstrating your ability to guide team members effectively
- Knowledge of schematics, interior design, or remodeling projects can be beneficial for supporting store updates
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and collaborating with team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, pricing adjustments, and inventory counts
