Position Summary
The Roofing Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers while delivering high-quality service work.
Responsibilities
- Perform roof inspections and identify leaks, damage, and maintenance needs
- Repair and maintain commercial and residential roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal, shingles, and coatings
- Diagnose roofing issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions
- Complete service calls in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Document work performed, materials used, and site conditions with photos and reports
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and office staff
- Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly
- Assist with emergency leak calls and storm response when needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of roofing service or repair experience preferred
- Knowledge of commercial roofing systems and repair techniques
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- OSHA certification is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
