Job Summary
We are seeking a Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and ensuring that food safety standards are met. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations while delivering high-quality food service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Perform food preparation tasks, including chopping, grilling, slicing, and dicing ingredients using knives and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
- Support catering events by preparing and packaging food items as required.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in regular training sessions on culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods are advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
