Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records for construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and identify materials requiring replenishment.
- Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming construction materials.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.
- Track materials issued to construction sites and individual projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, purchasing staff, and warehouse personnel.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor material usage and report shortages, damaged items, or unusual inventory changes.
- Coordinate material transfers between warehouses, storage areas, and construction sites.
- Maintain organized and secure inventory storage areas.
- Update inventory databases, spreadsheets, and material tracking systems.
- Assist with purchasing requests and replenishment planning.
- Prepare inventory reports and documentation for management.
- Follow company policies, material-handling procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in inventory management, logistics, or construction operations is an asset.
- Previous inventory, warehouse, construction supply, purchasing, or materials management experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency, including spreadsheets and inventory software.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and review delivery documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and discrepancy-resolution abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to lift, move, or organize materials when required, following safe handling procedures.
