Job Summary:
Make certain daily operations are maintained to keep hospital facilities in a clean and orderly condition to provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. Follow policy and direction from EVS Coordinators and Director. Assists in the training of Staff as to procedures regarding the use of supplies and equipment. Make certain meeting room set-ups are completed according to schedule and deep cleaning of all areas. Equipment maintenance. Assist in interviewing candidates, training, evaluating of personnel, ordering supplies, shift scheduling, equipment procurement, area inspections and scheduling of floor projects and outbuilding cleaning. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Must have a valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
Required Skills
Experience in and demonstrates the ability to lead, direct and coordinate day-to-day operations to meet needs of the various Departments. Excellent verbal & written communication skills (knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook). Prefer previous knowledge of hospital cleaning techniques and experience with using hospital grade chemicals and equipment.

Essential Functions:
- Walkthrough of facility, ascertain census, and prioritize tasks.
- Meet with EVS Director for changeover and daily instruction.
- Monitor supply closets and equipment closets to ensure they are stocked and organized.
- Delegate tasks to staff members in order or priority.
- Plan floor projects for heavy cleaners on evening and graveyard shifts.
- Assist in completing setups as needed.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift equipment (carts, buffers, vacuums and the like), cases of supplies, and bags of trash or laundry weighing 50 lbs. Required to move or push/pull full laundry bins, cleaning supplies, vacuums, mops, buffers, etc... Other – Ability to kneel, stoop, stand, and/or walk continuously throughout the day.
Environmental Conditions
Works inside. Occasional outside work when going to other facilities or removing waste and soiled linen.
