Physical Demands:
Fast-paced office environment requiring multitasking and prioritization. Light lifting (<35 lbs.), bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching.Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and typing. Visual and auditory acuity required for effective communication and task completion.

Key Job Duties And Responsibilities
Billing Accounts Responsibilities:
- Establishes the correct payor and address.
- Requests and obtains required information (medical records, progress notes, accident information).
- Reviews for accuracy of codes (revenue, CPT, and diagnosis) according to payor.
- Reviews ERAs forms for discrepancies
- Reconciles cash box daily
- Follows up on denied or unpaid claims
- Generates patient statements and explains charges or payment plans
- Answers phone within three (3) rings
- Provides assistance and accurate answers to patient questions
- Research patient complaints with involved department, responding to patients with satisfactory resolution within one (1) week or providing updates to patients and continuing researching a resolution
- Follow any job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by the supervisor/director.
Required Education and Licenses: High School Graduate
Required Work Experience:
- At least six (6) months working in a billing or insurance company environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email composition, business correspondence, and general office skills is required.
- Knowledge of basic office functions, including message-taking, cash drawer balancing, and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and excellent customer service skills in an office environment.
- Exceptional customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to the organization’s values and behavioral standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively, exceed expectations, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and multi-line phone systems.
- Adaptability to changing workflows and situations.
- Associates degree preferred
- Education or experience in medical office work, referrals, or billing strongly preferred.
