Role Overview:
The Purchasing Specialist will manage procurement activities to ensure timely availability of raw materials for production. This role involves preparing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, collaborating with suppliers, and working closely with production, logistics, and other departments to optimize the end-to-end supply chain. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of ensuring smooth operations across all stages of production procurement.
. Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Purchase Orders: Verify specifications and pricing, obtain approvals, and issue orders to suppliers.
- Monitor Orders: Expedite shipments, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Continuously monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to ensure material availability.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work with the Supply Chain Manager, Production Planner, and other departments to support end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Analyze Data: Collect, summarize, and provide purchasing planning and control information to support informed decision-making.
- Escalate Issues: Communicate supply risks and constraints to leadership promptly and effectively.
- Assist with Month-End Inventory: Support inventory counts and reconciliation.
- System Knowledge: Maintain understanding of MRP system migration and updates.
- Other Duties: Perform any additional job-related tasks as requested.
