We are seeking a passionate and dedicated leader and Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As Lead Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service. Your expertise in coffee preparation and your ability to engage with customers will play a crucial role in fostering a welcoming café atmosphere.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines during food handling and preparation.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, supplies, and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations and tasks, leading team members while maintaining a friendly and organized persona
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
- Previous management/leadership experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests.
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food preparation and serving.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
