Job Description
Grit Athletics is a growing strength and conditioning company focused on developing middle school and high school athletes. We are looking to bring on motivated coaches who are passionate about athletic development, coaching, and working with youth populations.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on coaching experience in a performance setting, with opportunities to grow into a larger role as the business expands.
Position Structure:
- Summer: Part-time hours (primarily morning/afternoon)
- Fall/Winter: Increased hours (afternoon/evening; full-time)
- Growth opportunities available for coaches who demonstrate strong performance and reliability
Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in strength & conditioning sessions for youth athletes
- Implement structured training programs safely and effectively
- Coach proper technique, effort, and intent during sessions
- Prepare and deliver session plans for assigned groups
- Create a positive, energetic, and disciplined training environment
- Communicate effectively with athletes and other coaches
Coach Tiers:
Lead Coaches (Preferred)
- CSCS OR degree (or currently pursuing) in Exercise Science or related field
- Experience programming and leading sessions independently
Coaches
- CPT or relevant experience OR strong interest in coaching
- Assist with sessions, learn programming, and support lead coaches
- Lead classes with younger groups or when necessary
Compensation
- Lead Coaches: ~$30/hour
- Coaches: $20–$25/hour (based on experience & certification)
Additional earning opportunity:
- Coaches can train private clients at the facility
- Set your own rate for outside clients
- Split structure allows strong earning potential
