We are a growing industrial automation company specializing in robotic integration and turnkey systems. Our projects range from $150K to $1M , serving manufacturers across Utah and neighboring states.
We support industries including machine and fabrication shops, foundries, medical device manufacturing, component assembly, defense, and general manufacturing. With a strong track record of successful project execution, we are scaling and looking to expand our sales team.
The Role
We’re hiring a driven Sales Engineer to generate new business in industrial automation.
This is a true hunter role—you will be expected to build your own pipeline, break into new accounts, and identify automation opportunities in the field. Deals are consultative and technical, with multi-month sales cycles.
You will own the customer relationship while working closely with our engineering team to develop solutions and proposals.
What You’ll Do
· Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and direct engagement
· Build and aggressively grow a qualified sales pipeline
· Target general manufacturing, machine shops, foundries, food, defense and medical companies.
· Engage with engineers, operations leaders, and decision-makers
· Identify automation opportunities in production and component assembly processes
· Lead consultative sales cycles from first contact through close
· Partner with engineering to scope solutions and develop proposals
· Manage accounts post-sale to drive repeat business and expansion
What We’re Looking For
· 3 years of experience in technical sales (industrial automation, robotics, or related field required)
· Proven ability to build pipeline from zero and close new business
· Experience selling into manufacturing environments
· Strong understanding of industrial processes and production workflows
· Self-starter with high drive, persistence, and accountability
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with engineering teams and management
Nice to Have
· Experience selling robotic integration or turnkey automation systems
· Existing experience in design/build/programming of automated systems
· Existing relationships within regional manufacturing industries
· Experience with long, consultative sales cycles
Compensation
· Base salary strong commission based on gross margin
· On-target earnings: Competitive with Market (driven by margin performance and deal size)
