What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Gripflux?
We are seeking a hard-core Superintendent to lead field operations on a major infrastructure project in Memphis, TN. We are seeking a proven builder with hands-on experience in concrete, structural steel, and finish trades, capable of managing work in the field, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering results that meet or exceed expectations in terms of safety, quality, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site field operations and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Oversee and manage large concrete pours, structural steel erection, and finish trades.
- Drive production through subcontractor coordination, manpower planning, and sequencing.
- Manage day-to-day jobsite logistics, equipment, and materials.
- Execute 3-week lookahead schedules in alignment with the master schedule.
- Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and multiple agencies (FAA, TSA, local officials).
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain a strong jobsite safety culture.
- Maintain daily reports, subcontractor meetings, and progress tracking.
Qualifications
- 3 years of superintendent experience on commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Proven, hands-on success overseeing: ○ Concrete foundations, slabs, and pours.
- Structural steel erection & decking.
- Interior and exterior finish trades.
- Strong scheduling and field coordination skills.
- Experience managing projects in active, operational environments (airports, hospitals, casinos, transit hubs, etc.).
- Familiarity with construction software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, P6, or similar).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
