Sales Representative – West Michigan Area $50,000 including commission potential
We are looking for a junior sales professional to join our team. The West Michigan Sales Representative reports to the Director of Sales, handling day-to-day customer relations, placing accurate orders, creating sales reports, among other tasks to assist the sales process. A great candidate for this role will be a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is self-sufficient, enjoys delivering exceptional customer service to clients and traveling.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Sales in selling GRIP product to clients across West Michigan
- Visit dispensaries
- Deliver product samples and giftbags
- Schedule and perform budtender trainings, contests, and vendor days
- Stay up to date on current market conditions, including demand, pricing, quality, and availability
- Monitor stores are displaying GRIP product in appropriate packaging and presentation
- Monitor sales and inventory, assisting with sell through as needed
- Lead exceptional customer service efforts with all customers and vendors
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment schedules
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Resolve customer issues such as returns or exchanges
- Contribute to weekly team sales meetings
- Pull and analyze reports such as customer sales, new clients, inventory, and others
- Assist in sales strategies to stay competitive in the market
- Maintain Client Relation Management system
- Organize and maintain client contact information
- Track communication between GRIP and clients
- Enter sales into our sales platform Zoho, ensuring accuracy of product, customer, and pricing
- Partner with the marketing manager to enhance social media, packaging, branded merchandise, and others
- Explore and recommend product development options that may be suitable for GRIP after researching market demands and cost models
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with a CRM platform
- Microsoft skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work comfortably with technology including laptop, iPad, and iPhone
- Experience in the cannabis industry a plus
- Experience with Leaflink, Metrc, Salesforce, Zoho, or Tagleaf a plus
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (mileage will be paid for travel)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
