Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Inventory Supervisor to lead inventory operations at our cold storage direct-to-consumer (DTC) fulfillment facility. This role is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and flow of all inventory within a temperature-controlled environment, including receiving, putaway, cycle counts, lot and batch traceability, and reconciliation. The Inventory Supervisor will partner closely with operations to ensure full compliance with food safety and cold chain standards. This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who thrives in fast-paced warehouse environments and understands the complexities of perishable, lot-controlled inventory.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Oversee daily inventory operations including receiving, putaway, replenishment, and cycle counts.
- Maintain inventory accuracy across all SKUs, lots, and temperature zones (frozen, refrigerated, ambient).
- Execute and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count programs and resolve variances promptly.
- Monitor KPIs including inventory accuracy, shrinkage, expiration/aging, and timeliness.
Receiving, Putaway & Cold Chain Integrity
- Supervise inbound receiving, ensuring all product is verified, scanned, and putaway to the correct temperature zone.
- Verify lot codes, expiration dates, and case counts against ASNs and POs; flag and quarantine discrepancies.
- Enforce cold chain protocols during receiving, storage, and movement of perishable goods.
- Manage FIFO/FEFO rotation to minimize spoilage and short-coded product.
- Maintain full lot and batch traceability to support recalls and customer audits.
- Partner with operations to ensure adequate stock is available in pick locations for outbound DTC orders.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure inventory practices comply with OSHA, FDA, USDA, FSMA, and cold storage standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records to support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
- Support recall readiness through accurate lot/batch tracking and mock recall participation.
What You Bring:
- 4 years of warehouse or fulfillment experience, with at least 2 years in inventory control.
- 1 years in a supervisory or lead role managing a team of associates.
- Experience in cold storage, food distribution, or temperature-controlled environments is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with WMS platforms.
- Strong Excel skills for tracking, reconciling, and reporting inventory metrics.
- Familiarity with food safety frameworks (FSMA, HACCP, SQF) preferred.
- Ability to work in cold and freezer environments and stand/walk for extended shifts.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
