We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our internal operations team. This role supports the project management team by managing invoices, contracts, and payments.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Prior experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or payables professional
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Prior experience reviewing, composing, or auditing contracts
- Experience in the construction industry is a PLUS
Project Accountant’s Responsibilities Will Include:
- Enter, organize, and audit business data
- Prepare, review, and update contracts, including processing change orders
- Identify and report cost overages, invoice discrepancies, and contract non-compliance
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including invoice entry, payment processing, and responding to payment inquiries
- Improve operational efficiency by implementing process improvements and new technologies
- Manage collections on outstanding balances
- Prepare and review job cost analysis reports
Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
- Associate degree or professional certification in accounting
- 3 years or more of bookkeeping or office management experience
- Ability to pass background and drug screening - REQUIRED
- Advanced experience working in Microsoft Excel
