Construction company in Memphis seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Superintendent over job sites in Memphis. No travel required.
The candidate shall have a proven track record in the management of the construction labor force, monitoring labor productivity, staying on schedule, working with subcontractors, working with code inspectors, reporting to the General Superintendent client relations and safety. In addition, strong leadership and communication skills are required. Must be well organized, responsible, reliable, punctual and eager to learn and have a strong work ethic.
Job duties:
- On-site project supervision including management of field personnel and subcontractors, specialty equipment and materials.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to plans and specifications.
- Understand and implement all safety measures.
- Be able to confer with all levels of staff from laborers to project managers to resolve technical issues and improve construction methods.
- Understand drawings and specifications.
- Proactively identify and solve problems within site.
- Understand budgets and implement cost controls.
- Manage time and material reports.
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience working as a Construction Superintendent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
- Must be well organized, responsible, reliable, punctual and eager to learn and have a strong work ethic.
- Weeks may require more than 40 hours a week.
- Driver’s license is required.
- Drug Free.
- Ability to pass background checks.
