What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration/HVAC Technician position at Griggs HVAC?
Looking to add a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician to our team.
Experience in low/medium temperature refrigeration is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and refrigeration units.
- Install new HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, piping (plumbing knowledge beneficial), and control systems following design specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on air conditioning units and commercial refrigeration systems.
- Perform equipment repair, and mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and HVAC design principles.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating field service vehicles safely.
