Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques with precision and care.
- Prepare and label specimens accurately, ensuring proper documentation for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during specimen collection and processing.
- Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe and effective sample collection.
- Provide excellent service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
- Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, storage, and transportation to the testing facility.
- Document all procedures meticulously in accordance with policies and terminology standards.
Requirements
The following are preferred but not required, we do train on site in the center. No phlebotomy certificate required for role.
- Proven laboratory experience with a focus on phlebotomy, blood sampling, or clinical specimen collection.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and anatomy relevant to venipuncture and blood sampling.
- Prior hospital or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to ensure accurate specimen collection.
- Skilled in venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing with a focus on patient care and safety.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately while maintaining aseptic technique.
