Griffith Foods is hiring a Stager to join our Warehouse Team in Alsip, IL. The Stager will support the Staging Team Captain by distributing material and products within establishments by performing the following duties:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will occasionally need to operate and drive a forklift or electronic pallet jack to transport materials or goods.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dust and odor are present in environment.

Griffith Foods is hiring a Stager to join our Warehouse Team in Alsip, IL. The Stager will support the Staging Team Captain by distributing material and products within establishments by performing the following duties:
- Reads production schedule to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Collaborates with Senior Stager’s, Stagers, Mixing Team Captains, and Mixing Set-Up Operators to ensure the correct items are being staged based on the production schedule.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequence and drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other items and distributes items to production or another department .
- Accurately marks materials with identifying information and records amounts of materials or items distributed by item number, lot number, location, and quantity by scanning the item, batch, and location numbers.
- Counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Arranges materials in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
- Uses computer/tablet to enter records, completes various worksheets and maintains inventory records
- Ability to successfully complete company’s forklift certification program within first 30 days.
- Ability to read and write in English. Can comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Knowledge of Warehouse and/or Production operations
- Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Six-month related experience in warehouse/production
- Knowledge of ERP Systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics AX) a plus
- Strong hand eye coordination along with attention to detail required
- Must be able to work second shift schedule Monday - Friday
- Experience working in the warehouse/production environment within the Food and Beverage industry.
- Prior experience operating a forklift.
