Griffin Technology Academies (GTA Schools) is a network of 4 charter schools in Vallejo, California, that focuses on providing students with a high-quality education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. The first GTA charter, Mare Island Technology Academy Middle and High Schools, was founded in 2001, later adding Griffin Academy Middle and High Schools in 2018. GTA Schools serve students in grades 6-12. Griffin Technology Academies offer a variety of programs and services designed to support students in achieving academic success. These include: small class sizes, personalized instruction, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities like burgeoning athletic programs, before and after school care programs, early college (dual enrollment, articulation, concurrent enrollment), AVID, and CTE courses. The schools also provide students with access to technology resources, including laptops and tablets. Students in high school also have opportunities for community service, internships, and career exploration experiences coordinated through GTA’s Work-Based Learning (WBL) program. What makes our schools special is the partnership between families, community, and educators - each committed to preparing students to become active and responsible citizens in a diverse society by engaging students in a challenging curriculum that provides a solid foundation of academic skills in a safe learning environment. We invite you to come learn with us.
