Griffin Resources is recruiting for an on-site Accounts Payable Manager position for one of our clients located in Tampa, FL.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at our Tampa, FL office. In this role, you will oversee the full accounts payable (AP) process, manage vendor relationships, supervise the AP team, and ensure that payments are processed accurately and on time. You’ll also work closely with leadership to support financial operations and contribute to process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the AP team and provide leadership, coaching, and support.
- Oversee the creation of Purchase Orders (POs) in QuickBooks (QB).
- Manage vendor onboarding and maintenance.
- Ensure timely processing and approval of invoices.
- Integrate Strongroom data into QuickBooks (QB).
- Monitor and respond to AP email communications.
- Approve all invoices for payment release.
- Perform weekly reconciliation of ACH transactions.
- Address department concerns and resolve escalations.
- Review weekly open invoice reports and work exception reports.
- Follow up on pending requests and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Process payments, including deficit funding transactions.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment statuses.

Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (QB) and AP systems.
- Strongroom experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional and clear communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, growing company environment preferred.
- Experience in managing remote team members.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
