Griffin Purnell is a firm specializing in complex litigation and is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dedicated team. Our practice focuses on representing individuals who have suffered serious injuries. We fight to secure compensation for victims of corporate negligence.
Our firm has a proven track record of successfully litigating against major pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers. We are currently handling multiple mass tort cases involving dangerous drugs, defective medical implants, and other medical products that have caused serious harm to patients.
As a key member of our litigation team, you will work directly with attorneys handling complex and interesting cases through all phases of litigation.
Position Overview:
This position requires extensive experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the complex nature of these cases, including:
- Medical record analysis and organization
- Drug and medical device adverse event documentation
- FDA regulatory compliance issues
- Medical causation documentation
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of litigation experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex medical record collections and reviews
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to analyze medical records
- Experience with mass tort case management software
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail in document management and filing
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize large volumes of medical records and case documents
- Create detailed chronologies of medical treatments and adverse events
- Coordinate with medical experts and healthcare providers
- Assist in the preparation of court filings and discovery responses
- Maintain case management databases
- Interface with clients regarding medical record collection and case updates
- Support attorneys in all phases of litigation
- Coordinate with co-counsel offices on various matters
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of litigation experience
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program (Preferred)
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical or medical device litigation
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in case management software
- Driver’s License/reliable transportation
