MAIN FUNCTION: Manages all clinical performance improvement functions and collaborates with hospital leadership and other department team members to support a culture of safety and high reliability.
Specific areas of responsibility include collaboration with hospital employees at all levels to support principles of high reliability through-out the organization including program development, education, and team facilitation. Monitors and creates reports from the Incident Reporting System and management of occurrence follow-up and coordination of actions plans including root cause analysis, clinical debriefs, system reviews, and action teams process improvement. Provides data collection, analysis, incident investigation, and reporting of safety related occurrences including trend analysis. Meeting facilitation including preparation to support the committee structure of patient safety at committee level.
EDUCATION: RN or LPN Required with a minimum of 5 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE: Minimum six months in same or similar position. Computer literacy and the ability to type are required.
