What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Instructor CNA Per Diem position at Griffin Hospital School of Allied Health Careers?
MAIN FUNCTION: The CNA Instructor will have the responsibility for the development, implementation, management and teaching of a curriculum using a variety of teaching methods in the classroom and clinical setting, which will qualify completing students to sit for state and national testing. The instructor will supervise students during clinical rotations at Griffin Hospital/Middlesex Hospital and in various long term care facilities
Education:
Current Connecticut RN or LPN license in good standing
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a long-term care setting
- Experience supervising nursing assistants, students, or healthcare personnel
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners
Experience:
Teaching experience in a healthcare education program
- Curriculum development and instructional technology experience
- Knowledge of CT CNA regulations and Prometric testing requirements
- Experience in advising, recruitment, and retention
