What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Services/Charge Specialist position at Griffin Health Brand?
MAIN FUNCTION: Provides support in all office activities; provides clerical support; processes all insurance, completes all billing and coding functions and is responsible for managing the Radiation Oncology electronic medical record.
EDUCATION: High school diploma required; Certified Professional Coder(CPC) preferred,
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1-year experience in a busy medical office required; Radiation Oncology office experience preferred; computer proficiency required including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, internet browsing and medical practice management. Knowledge of insurance company procedures and policies; government, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities; CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding; anatomy and medical terminology; and basic mathematics.
Position is Monday–Friday. Hours may vary to meet clinic needs, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. On Fridays, we close at 3:00 p.m.
