Role Description This is a full-time, on-site grading role based in Cordele, GA. The team member will perform daily grading tasks such as operating heavy equipment, preparing sites, leveling surfaces, and assisting with concrete and asphalt work as needed. Responsibilities include following project plans and instructions, maintaining equipment, and supporting crew members to ensure efficient workflows. The role involves adhering to all safety protocols, reporting any hazards or equipment issues, and keeping the work area organized and secure. The team member will work closely with supervisors and coworkers to complete projects according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate grading and earthmoving equipment (e.g., skid steers, loaders, excavators) and willingness to learn new machinery.
- Experience in site preparation, grading, and basic knowledge of concrete and asphalt work or a strong interest in learning these skills.
- Understanding of construction safety practices, including adherence to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor, manual labor in various weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability, with a focus on punctuality and professional conduct on job sites.
- Attention to detail when following instructions, reading basic project layouts, and maintaining quality standards.
