Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows and doors across various residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety protocols, and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Measure openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure precise fitment of windows and doors
- Install a variety of window and door units, including frames, trim, and hardware, utilizing hand tools and power tools efficiently
- Perform glass installation with care to prevent damage and ensure proper sealing for weatherproofing
- Conduct caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing to enhance insulation and durability of installations
- Handle heavy lifting safely during the transportation and positioning of large window units or door assemblies
- Read blueprints, schematics, and fabrication diagrams to follow project specifications accurately
- Complete remodeling tasks such as metal stud framing, fixture installation, cabinet hanging, and carpentry work as needed
- Use construction estimating skills to assess materials required for each project and ensure proper resource management
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations during all phases of installation and fabrication
- Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on window or door installation preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and fixture or cabinet installation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with glass installation, caulking, construction painting, remodeling, and metal framing techniques
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces safely
- Knowledge of schematics related to fixture installation or cabinetry is a plus
- Handyman experience or general remodeling background highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction environments
