Brief Description of Duties: Provide services for summer school program and extended school year (ESY) programs. Minimum Qualifications: Occupational Therapist: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy required. Successful experience in planning and providing occupational therapy services to children in a medical or educational setting preferred. California Driver’s License required by the first day of service. Must hold a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy. Must also hold a certificate of proficiency in Occupational Therapy issued by the American Occupation Therapist Association and/or a current and valid certificate of registration in occupational therapy issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. First Aid /CPR Certificate is preferred. Speech Language Pathology Assistant: Associate of arts degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders, or graduation from a speech-language pathology assistant program; current registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board; prior SLPA experience in educational or clinical settings is preferred. Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. Possession of valid California driver’s license and willingness to travel locally using own transportation, with mileage reimbursed, as needed. District First Aid and CPR training may be required and will be provided
Application Deadline: Submit interest letter to Personnel by 4:00 pm, May 13, 2026. Include phone number on interest letter and verification of meeting minimum requirements if applicable. Other Information: Paid on variable pay period. Employees offered a summer position must submit a timecard via Time & Attendance for hours worked, up to the hours/days on the InformedK12 contract for summer school. Contracts must be signed and submitted prior to working summer school hours. Please note all summer school positions and hours are contingent enrollment and is subject to change on a weekly basis. Summer School contracts will be sent via InformedK12 to your GUSD email. Priority consideration will be given to those working every day of a session.
