Required Certifications & Qualifications All coaches must meet California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and Gridley Unified School District requirements before working with student-athletes. Requirements include completion of CIF-approved coaching education, current CPR/First Aid certification, concussion, sudden cardiac arrest, and heat acclimatization training, as well as successful fingerprint clearance (Live Scan), TB clearance, and submission of all required district coaching and volunteer paperwork. Coaches must also demonstrate knowledge of sport-specific rules, athlete safety, injury prevention, and appropriate supervision of middle and high school student-athletes. Final coaching clearance must be approved by the District prior to the start of any coaching duties.

Period of Employment: Varies based on sport season Stipend: Appropriate Placement on Extra Duty Stipend Schedule. Contracts will be emailed with approved amounts. Stipends are paid on variable payroll cycle following completed season/last game. Please note that stipends are not payable until all coaching requirements and paperwork, including signed contract, has been received by the District Office.
