Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer & Estimator to join our team. The role will support our solar powered, security product line and will help build accurate scopes of work for Low-Voltage/Security installation projects. Security installation projects include both outdoor solar security and traditional Low-Voltage security projects.
The Sales Engineer/Estimator will be pivotal in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer needs, ensuring seamless communication of product capabilities while providing accurate project installation estimates. As a key player in our sales process, you will leverage your technical expertise and sales acumen to drive growth and support pre-sales activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs.
- Work with our Head Installer to build detailed, accurate scopes of work for large security installation projects.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing technical guidance, answering complex queries, and articulating solution advantages clearly.
- Assist in project management tasks by coordinating with engineering teams to ensure accurate scope definition and resource allocation.
- Develop bill of material, obtain pricing, and calculate labor to produce material and labor estimates
Qualifications
- Proven experience in estimating, sales engineering, or solutions design
- Experience in Low Voltage, Security Technology
- Candidate should be detail oriented and comfortable quoting multi-million dollar projects.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints and system schematic diagrams.
- Strong understanding of job material and labor forecasting
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
