We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused individual to join our ambulatory team as a Medical Scribe. Medical students, pre-med graduates, and applicants pursuing careers in medicine are encouraged to apply.
📍 Location: 5959 Big Tree Road, Orchard Park, NY 14127
🏥 Department: Chestnut Ridge Family Medical Care
🕒 Shift: Per Diem | Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Job Duties:
- Record patient encounters, including medical histories, physical exam findings, procedures, diagnostic results, and provider evaluations
- Enter and update patient information accurately within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Obtain and compile previous medical records, laboratory reports, imaging results, and other pertinent documentation for provider review
- Support providers in maintaining an organized workflow and timely patient appointments
- Uphold patient privacy by following HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards
- Contribute to smooth clinic operations and a positive patient care experience
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Benefits: The hiring range is between $18.00-$21.00 per year/hour.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalency, required
Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience with front desk operations, patient scheduling, phone handling, and customer service, strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and problem solving skills
- Computer/technical knowledge
