Key Responsibilities
- Design Excellence & Craft: Own the ultimate mandate for pixel-perfect execution and the highest standards of design craft. Ensure every experience transcends utility to deliver meaningful joy and unmatched productivity.
- Strategic Leadership: Define and champion the long-term design vision for Slack, ensuring it aligns with and advances the broader Salesforce strategy.
- Team & Culture: Attract, hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing and diverse design organization. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Product Partnership: Partner closely with the SVP of Product and the SVP of Engineering to shape product strategy and prototype the path forward.
- User Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the user within the leadership team, ensuring that user needs and insights drive product decisions.
- Operational Excellence: Establish and optimize design processes, tools, and methodologies to scale the organization effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, research, and other teams to ensure a consistent and compelling brand and user experience.
- 15 years of experience in product design, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- 10 years of experience managing and leading large, multi-disciplinary design teams.
- A strong portfolio of successful, consumer grade products with major scale
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role at a top-tier technology company.
- Deep expertise in user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Proven ability to partner with C-level executives and influence product strategy.
