Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews on substation concrete projects. This role is responsible for overseeing daily job site operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality. The ideal candidate is a strong, steady leader who can balance productivity with people, who sets the tone on-site, communicates clearly, and leads by example.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in concrete construction (minimum of 2 years in substation)
- Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience managing field crews
- Strong understanding of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- OSHA 10 & 30 certifications preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel as required
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Able to pass background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews on substation concrete projects
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily work activities
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Maintain quality control and ensure projects meet required standards
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Track labor, materials, and equipment usage
- Mentor and develop crew members, fostering a strong team culture
- Identify and resolve issues in real-time to keep projects on schedule
Pay & Benefits
- $32–$38/hour, based on experience
- Weekly pay
- PTO and sick leave accrual 6 paid holidays
- Per diem of $80/night (when eligible)
