Overview
The Commercial Cleaner supports the daily operations of the property management team by maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of residential and commercial properties.
This role ensures common areas, vacant units, offices, and facilities are consistently clean, well-maintained, and ready for occupancy. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with the Property Manager and management staff regarding work orders and scheduled cleaning assignments.
- Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, lobbies, offices, restrooms, and other shared spaces in residential and commercial properties.
- Perform unit turn cleanings to prepare apartments or suites for new residents or tenants.
- Clean interior building areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing floors, and washing windows.
- Properly store cleaning equipment and supplies after use.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, tenant, and applicant information.
- Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
- Previous experience in Maintenance a plus.
- Experience working in a Property Management office strongly preferred.
- Experience with computer programs, particularly Microsoft suite products (Outlook, Excel).
- Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, or similar property management software a plus
- Has a sense of urgency and assumes responsibility for all assigned work.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
