Position Overview
Grid Financial Management is seeking a highly organized, client-focused Senior Account Manager to oversee a roster of entertainment clients.
This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting and business management experience who can operate as a financial manager. The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day client finances, tracking income and royalties, preparing financial reporting, coordinating with outside teams, and ensuring clients receive exceptional service and strategic support.
The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment, communicates professionally with high-profile clientele and representatives, and can independently manage complex financial workflows with accuracy and discretion.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Financial Management
- Manage financial operations for an assigned roster of clients
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning
- Review and maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records
- Monitor accounts payable, receivable, banking activity, and expense tracking
- Coordinate with attorneys, managers, assistants, payroll providers, and financial institutions
- Royalty Administration & Income Tracking
- Track and oversee royalty collection across music, touring, publishing, licensing, digital platforms, and related revenue streams
- Review royalty statements and identify discrepancies or missing income
- Conduct income audits and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Maintain organized royalty reporting and supporting documentation
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Generate client reporting packages and financial summaries
- Analyze financial variances and spending trends
- Assist with tax preparation support and audit documentation
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting schedules
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and professionalism
- Provide proactive communication and financial guidance
- Deliver a high-touch, white-glove client service experience
- Internal Operations & Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal accounting and operations teams
- Assist in improving workflows, systems, and operational efficiency
- Help maintain organizational standards and process consistency
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in accounting, financial services, business management, or related field
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Experience with royalty accounting, income tracking, or entertainment finance workflows
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Professional discretion and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in entertainment, music, film/TV, media, or creator economy industries
- Prior experience in business management firms strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- CPA or related certification is a plus
- Experience with platforms such as AgilLink, QuickBooks, Excel, Paychex, or related accounting systems
