About the role:
The Workforce Program Manager is responsible for overseeing regional job training programs, building funder and employer partnerships, collaborating with organizational leadership designing and implementing training materials, implementing onboarding processes, tracking trainee progress, and leading workforce coordinator staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of operations and management of workforce development and training programs
- Grow the pool of trained job learners for the solar field for entry to mid-level positions through local partnerships and community outreach.
- Maintain and build relationships with industry, government agencies, colleges/universities, community organizations, and workforce development partners
- Supervise program coordinator staff, instructors, and other program staff in collaboration with the construction lead
- Assist with learner onboarding and employment readiness curriculum as needed
- Support in data analysis and provide suggestions for improvements
- Facilitate formal feedback processes internally with affiliate training
- Be a main point of contact for collaboration and communication with other affiliate departments and headquarters
- Prepare reports and documentation to track and report program outcomes and achievements
- Conduct job market research to identify available positions and potential employers
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers, businesses, and organizations to understand their hiring needs
- Coordinate attendance for job fairs, networking events, and industry-specific meetings to connect job seekers with potential employers
- Match trainees with suitable job openings and facilitate the application process
- Provide ongoing support to trainees after placement, addressing any challenges or issues that may arise in their new roles
- Maintain records of job placements, employer contacts, and job seeker progress
- Coordinate payment of learner learning-stipends
- Budget and deliverable efforts as grantee and sub-grantee
