Position Summary:
The Environmental Services Lead provides leadership and direction to the housekeeping staff. Primary responsibilities include maintaining thorough working knowledge of the tasks and duties within the team, providing positive leadership and support while offering regular feedback and reinforcement. This position coordinates staff schedules, training and onboarding. This working position assists in fighting the spread of infection, and provides a neat, sanitary and pleasing physical environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivation with ability to work independently and promote team concepts. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong customer focus.
- Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows-based computer systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and serve as a resource to EVS staff.
- Ability to show empathy and compassion to our patients/residents.
- Strong working knowledge of EVS duties, hazardous waste disposal and aseptic cleaning techniques.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times and handles information with discretion.
- Must be able to meet the physical job requirements of EVS role.
- Must work a minimum of 60 hours per pay period and maintain a full-time status.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
Hourly Range:
$19.15 to $24.96
