What are the responsibilities and job description for the All Shifts-Measurement System Operator position at Greystone?
Nature of Work : Performs work measuring and/or testing parts for defects and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments, x-ray systems, and complex test equipment. Required to meet production quotas.
Essential Job Functions
- Tests or measures parts for conformance to specifications; dependent on position, may measure dimension of products/thickness of electroplated coating using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Records inspection or test data and quantities measured/tested; completes other documentation as required.
- Follows work process instructions unless notified otherwise by supervisor.
- Cross trains and learns additional skills as needed to assist in meeting production goals.
Job Preparation Needed
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; some related experience preferred.
- Must possess basic computer and math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; and, the ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, work process instructions, memos, etc.
- Ability to follow instruction, accept corrections, contribute ideas, and work well as part of a team.
- May be required to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
