Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Responsibilities
- Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a positive environment
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to ensure resident safety at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some positions may require availability during evenings or weekends depending on the setting
